One Pro Cycling’s Steele Von Hoff is hoping for a strong performance at the Australian National Championships to gain a place on UniSA’s Tour Down Under team Steele Von Hoff wins stage four of the 2015 Tour Down Under Steele Von Hoff has been showing off his new One Pro Cycling kit in some of the Bay Criteriums this week, but it’s with another team that he’s hoping to ride the Tour Down Under this month.
With One not being offered a wildcard for the South Australia race, which starts on January 19, Von Hoff’s chance of riding his home race is with composite national team UniSA-Australia.
The 28-year-old has form with the invitational team, having won a stage of the Tour Down Under last year and finishing seventh in the points classification.
But Von Hoff knows he must impress in the National Championships road race in Buninyong this weekend if he is to secure a place in his home tour.
“I’m hopeful of getting a start at the TDU but it just depends on my nationals form and how I go in the road race,” he told Fox Sports Australia .
