Team gives everyone the national champion treatment Trek Segafredo custom madone After Jack Bobridge kicked off Trek-Segafredo ‘s season in style by winning the Australian national road race championship at the weekend, it might be no surprise to see the new national champion on a custom-painted bike. However Trek has gone the extra mile at the Tour Down Under , giving each of the team’s riders a bike painted up in their respective national colours.
Most of the team’s riders will be on board the new Trek Madone , with the only exception being Peter Stetina, who might be targetting the hilly finishes to stages three and five with his choice of the lightweight Trek Emonda .
A green and gold bike for the Australian national champion
Aside from Bobridge’s green and gold Madone, there are some other eye-catching bikes to be seen outside the team bus, with Dutchman Boy Van Poppel, riding a lurid orange number, while Colombian Julien Arredondo and American Kiel Reijnen aboard bikes with slightly more understated navy and white paintjobs respectively.
