Chris Froome will begin his season Down Under at the Herald Sun Tour on February 3, while Nairo Quintana starts at the Tour de San Luis in January Chris Froome, Nairo Quintana, Fabio Aru and Alberto Contador Routes to a Grand Tour differ greatly, with some riders preferring to start their seasons as early as possible, while others like to delay their entrance to racing in order to limit their racing days.
Chris Froome always likes to wait until February before pinning on his race number, while someone like Vincenzo Nibali often starts his season by entering the first possible race.
