It might be 2016, but many bike shops and retailers still have plenty of 2015 road bikes to sell. To see if there any deals to be had, the road.cc Tech Team went shopping.
It turns out there are some stunning end of season bargains to be had. We found entry-level road bikes, all-singing, all-dancing carbon fibre racing bikes, disc-equipped road bikes, women’s bikes, gravel bikes, commuting bikes, a real assortment. So if you’re after a bike bargain and you’ve kept your powder dry until now – well done. However you don’t want to wait much longer all those unsold bikes aren’t going to stay unsold forever.
Most of the bikes here are 2015 models, but that shouldn’t put you off in the slightest. Why? Well, these days most bike models are produced on a two- to three-year product cycle – so, bar a paint job or slight change to the component spec a 2015 bike is often nearly identical to the 2016 version.
