River Island’s latest Design Forum collection launched into stores this week. A biannual collaboration between the high street brand and British designers, the collection represents a chance to own catwalk designs at high-street prices.
This time around River Island has teamed up with Blood Brother. Launched in 2011 with just six T-shirt designs, Blood Brother has since grown into a cult label that uses high quality fabrics to elevate everyday items. The results include some of the best bomber jackets we’ve seen over the last few years, plus punchy sweatshirts, T-shirts and trousers, as well as the brand securing a slot at London Fashion Week.
“[River Island] gave us the freedom to delve into our design universe and ideas and we worked very closely with the design team,” says the brand’s creative director, Nick Biela. “We strived to create a collection that not only stays true to our core design aesthetic, but appeals to River Island’s global audience.”
